The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETPartnership) plans to launch its new annual call, Joint Call 2025, on June 1, 2025. This call is co-funded by the EU and carried out in collaboration with funding organizations and program owners from across Europe and beyond. Funds will be pooled to support selected projects, covering a wide range of technologies and system solutions necessary for the green transition.
This year’s Joint Call will be similar to the 2024 Call but with some key differences. The timeline has been moved forward, and a Call Launch Event will be held on May 28. Applicants will be able to submit pre-proposals from early June to October. The exact submission deadline will be announced later.
The call is structured into Call Modules, which vary in thematic scope and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), covering different R&D types. Joint Call 2025 will follow a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Submission of a pre-proposal. The project consortium selects a Call Module for submission. If the pre-proposal is successful, the consortium is invited to submit a full proposal.
Stage 2: Submission of a full proposal. Only applicants whose pre-proposals were accepted will proceed to this stage.
Applicants must comply with the national/regional eligibility criteria and requirements specified in the call text. Some funding organizations may require additional applications at the national/regional level. Funding organizations will handle the processing of payments once projects have been selected after the full proposal stage.
